The Kairos Method is the first TTC-only Fertility Awareness Method, built specifically for women trying to conceive — including those journeying through loss or infertility. "Kairos" means God's appointed time, and the method combines cycle charting education with a faith-based support.
The Kairos Method is for women who are actively trying to conceive, especially those doing so after a pregnancy loss or through infertility. If you're looking to understand your body's fertility signs so you can work toward conception, this is for you.
The Kairos Method follows the similar, evidenced-based body-literacy principles as NFP and other Fertility Awareness Methods, but it's TTC-only — it teaches you to identify your most fertile window in order to conceive, not to avoid pregnancy.
Most Fertility Awareness Method education tries to teach both directions at once — how to avoid pregnancy and how to achieve it. Kairos does one thing, on purpose. When you're trying to conceive, especially after a loss or through infertility, every day of your cycle carries weight — you don't need general cycle education with conception as an afterthought. You need a method built entirely around understanding your fertile window so you can work toward pregnancy with clarity and confidence.
It might sound that way, but teaching both directions actually dilutes the message. Avoidance-focused content is cautious by design, built to help you be certain you're not fertile. TTC-focused content flips that entirely — it's built to help you recognize your fertile signs as early and clearly as possible. Trying to teach both means constant qualifying: "here's how to read this if you're avoiding, but do the opposite if you're trying to conceive." That's confusing for anyone, and especially unhelpful (and even triggering!) when you're already anxious or exhausted from trying.
- A method that speaks directly to you, without hedging or splitting the message.
- Chart-reading taught in the context that actually matters to you — recognizing fertility, not avoiding it.
- Support for the emotional layer that comes with TTC specifically (the hope, the waiting, the fear of getting it wrong), not generic cycle education.
- Every resource and next step built around the same goal you have: conception.
No — Kairos is an educational method for understanding your cycle. It isn't a substitute for medical care. If your charts show something that warrants closer attention, we'll guide you on what signals may be worth bringing to your doctor. Based on your chart data, we can also make referrals for further, customized testing with our world-renowned fertility diagnostics partner. Our partner is a leader in advanced fertility solutions, and they use self-collected, non-invasive sampling methods that provide you with comprehensive answers within short timeframes.
Your chart is more than just a fertility window — it's a window into your hormonal health. By tracking signs like basal body temperature, cervical mucus, and cycle length over time, patterns emerge that reflect what's happening throughout your cycle, not just on your most fertile days. A sustained temperature rise after ovulation (along with other supporting signs) confirms ovulation occurred — cycles where that shift doesn't happen, or happens inconsistently, can signal that ovulation isn't regular. Charting also lets you measure your luteal phase (the time between ovulation and your next period) directly; a consistently short luteal phase is worth discussing with your doctor. Beyond that, certain patterns — an unusually short or long cycle, a slow or unclear temperature rise, irregular or absent ovulation, unpredictable cycle lengths — can be associated with hormonal factors like low progesterone, estrogen imbalances, thyroid issues, or conditions like PMOS. Charting doesn't diagnose any of these on its own, but it gives you concrete, real-time data to bring into a conversation with your doctor.
No. Charting is an empowering tool, not a diagnostic one — it helps you recognize when something in your cycle looks off so you can act on it instead of wondering, and it gives you and your doctor more informed ground to stand on. But it isn't a substitute for medical care, testing, or a professional diagnosis.
Most apps give you predictions based on averages or algorithms. The Kairos Method teaches you to actually read your body's own signals, which may change from cycle to cycle — so you understand why a day is fertile, not just what an algorithm predicts.
Charting after loss can absolutely stir up fear or grief, and we don't take that lightly. Kairos was built with this in mind — combining practical chart literacy with a framework of faith and hope, so you're not walking through it purely clinically or purely alone.
Yes. Understanding your chart can help you and your doctor have more informed conversations, and many women find that chart literacy gives them a sense of clarity even amid a diagnosis.
Yes. Many women continue charting while undergoing treatments like IUI, IVF, or ovulation-induction medications (such as Clomid or Letrozole). Charting can help you stay connected to your body and understand what's happening alongside your treatment protocol, and it can give you and your care team more data points to work from.
Yes. Kairos is rooted in the belief that our timing is held in God's hands, and that framework of hope is woven throughout the method — without being separate from the practical, clinical side of chart education.
